Before edubily became the large, genuine company it is today, there was just our blog. Founded in the first quarter of 2014.
Our story can be traced back to its roots on genetisches-maximum.de — our blog today. For those who haven't already, you should start reading from the very beginning.
Our mission has always been
If you read us regularly, you must come to the conclusion that we can experience different realities depending on where in life we (hopefully) take the right turn.
Biology today provides us with an incredibly strong foundation for this.
Since researchers have learned more about the field of epigenetics — the regulation of genes through environmental influences — we can say with high certainty that when it comes to our health, there are always at least two possibilities.
A drastic example of this comes from studies on Aboriginal peoples. In the wild, they look like this (click). But when these people, with exactly this genetic makeup, enter a modern lifestyle, they often look like this (click).
In the former case, they are slim, very healthy, and have a long life expectancy. In the latter case, it follows the typical Western pattern — obesity, metabolic dysfunction, and at minimum dramatically shortened health spans.
These are two different realities that the same person can experience. You could say: Depending on which genetic switches we (don't) flip …
That is our mission. We don't just want to give people information; we want to convince them that there are completely different realities possible in this life of ours.
The reason many people don't act, or act far too late, is partly because they lack belief. They don't know that they are not a single fixed person, but rather one possibility among many within their genetic limits.
But it's also because our brain constantly plays tricks on us. We experience reality mostly not as it actually is, but as our brain colors it.
Known as cognitive distortion. The surest way to see your own behavior honestly, soberly, and as accurately as possible from the outside is to have a reference system, an external authority that gives you feedback.
When you see your own behavior honestly, clearly, and accurately from an external perspective, you might be surprised. Surprised at how subjective perception from the ego perspective and actual facts from a bird's eye or observer perspective often don't align at all.
We want people to experience change through transformation. And this fails, not least, because we only consume information rather than transforming ourselves — to become a new person with a new life.
We no longer offer coaching. And we are very much rooted in the health field. But genuine transformation as a person happens in different areas of our lives.
At this point, we would like to make a recommendation:
For us, Michael is much more than an old acquaintance. He has been with us since edubily's earliest days and was the editor of our first, very successful book (Handbook to Your Body, 2014).
Without him and his wisdom, we might not exist in the form we do today. His life story, experience, diverse training, and knowledge are truly remarkable — all condensed into 30 years as a coach!
Here you find a coach who truly deserves the title, which is used all too inflationarily today. He can be the external authority or reference system for you if you want to truly transform yourself, in any area of life.
A recommendation from us. Visit Michael's website.
